Calum Worthy Wiki Biography
Calum Worthy was born on 28 January 1991, in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, and is an actor, writer and producer, perhaps best known for his roles in the Disney Channel television series “Austin & Ally” and “The Coppertop Flop Show”.
So just how rich is Calum Worthy at present? According to sources, Worthy has earned a net worth over $1 million, as of mid-2016, acquired during his acting career which began in 2001.
Worthy grew up in Victoria, where he attended Claremont Secondary School. He was already interested in acting at the age of four, being inspired by the role of Macaulay Culkin in “Home Alone”. Shortly after, he began with stage performances, and in 2001 enrolled in the Tarlington Training professional children’s program in Vancouver, British Columbia. The same year, being aged nine, Worthy made his television debut, with a guest appearance in the Fox television horror anthology series called “Night Visions”. This was followed by an appearance in the science fiction – drama series “Mysterious Ways”, and a leading role as Roger/Ratty in the children’s drama series “I Was a Rat”. The young actor went on to make several television appearances in the early 2000s – his performance as Danny Snider in the 2003 television film “National Lampoon’s Thanksgiving Family Reunion” brought him a Young Artist Award in the Leading Young Actor category. His popularity and net worth began to rise.
After a minor part in the 2004 adventure film “Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed”, Worthy was cast in the role of Danny Farrell in the 2005 short film “When Jesse Was Born”, which earned him a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Performance in a Short Film. After a number of minor appearances in television projects and several films, he secured a recurring role as Lee in the 2009 drama series “Stormworld”, which earned him another nomination for Young Artist Award in the Leading Young Actor category, and won him a Leo Award for Best Performance in a Youth or Children’s Program or Series. He went on to take numerous opportunities, appearing in the television series such as “Smallville”, “Flashpoint”, “Caprica” and “Good Luck Charlie” and in the films “What Goes Up”, “Daydream Nation”, “The Big Year” and “Mostly Ghostly: Have You Met My Ghoulfriend?”. All added to his net worth.
In 2011 Worthy was cast with the leading role of Dez in the popular Disney Channel teen sitcom “Austin & Ally”, which lasted until early 2016 and enabled Worthy to reach a high level of popularity among worldwide audiences. Meanwhile, in 2013 he co-created the Disney Channel comedy sketch series called “The Coppertop Flop Show”. Aside from writing and executive producing the show, he also starred in it, gaining wider recognition. Both “Austin & Ally” and “The Coppertop Flop Show” have significantly contributed to his wealth.
Worthy’s most recent television appearances were in the 2015 series “Backstrom”, “I Didn’t Do It”, “Wander Over Yonder”, and in the 2016 “Bizaardvark”. He is currently filming “The Thinning”, a thriller film announced to be released in late 2016.
When it comes to his personal life, Worthy seems to be very secretive about it. Thus, there are no details known to the media about his off-camera private life and his dating history.
