Timothy Robert DeKay was born on 12 June 1963, in Lansing, New York State, USA, and is an actor, producer, and director, probably best known for being part of the series “Party of Five”. He was also part of “Carnivale” and “Tell Me You Love Me”. All of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

How rich is Tim DeKay? As of early-2017, sources estimate a net worth that is at $3 million, mostly earned through a successful career in acting. He’s been a guest star for numerous hit television series such as “Chuck”, “CSI”, “Seinfeld”, and “Friends”, and also became part of the series “White Collar” alongside Matt Bomer. As he continues his career it is expected that his wealth will increase.

Growing up, Tim was very interested in sports and played varsity baseball and basketball. He also enjoyed the performing arts, becoming part of his high school’s production of “Oliver!” After matriculating, he attended Le Moyne College where he played baseball, while studying Business and Philosophy, but graduating in 1985 with a degree in business administration. However, he decided to pursue a career in theater, and took acting courses at Syracuse University, and then attended Rutgers University to earn a Master of Fine Arts.

One of his first appearances was in an episode of “Seinfeld” in which he portrayed Elaine’s boyfriend Kevin. He would do another episode with the show before becoming part of a three episode arc of “The New Adventures of Old Christine” featuring Julia Louis-Dreyfus. After appearing in the sitcom, he would act in numerous productions on and off-Broadway, becoming part of “Billy Budd” which is based on the final novel of writer Herman Melville, and also appearing in a production of the popular Shakespeare play “The Merchant of Venice”. Afterwards, he joined a national tour of “The Lion in Winter”, which is about the conflicts of Henry II of England, laying a good base to his net worth.

In 2009, Tim tried his hand at becoming a director and producer, of a short film entitled “This Monday”, which was featured at various film festivals including The Palm Strings International Short Film Festival and the Cannes Short Film Corner. He also became part of the comedy drama “White Collar”, playing the FBI agent Peter Burke, about the FBI Agent and the multitalented con artist played by Matt Bomer who works as Burke’s criminal informant. The show ran for six seasons and gained many positive reviews, and also won numerous awards and nominations. In 2015, Tim played the FBI agent Duval Pritchard in the pilot of “Frankenstein”.

Aside from acting, DeKay was the commencement speaker at Le Moyne College in 2010 and was awarded a Doctor of Humane Letters honoris causa. He is also a member of the Actors Studio, and is an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California.

For his personal life, it is known that Tim has been married to actress Elisa Taylor since 1991, who he met while attending Rutgers University. The couple has two children, and reside in California.
