Anthony Dean Rapp was born on the 26th October 1971, in Chicago, Illinois USA, and is an actor and singer, perhaps best known for his role as Mark Cohen in the musical “Rent” on Broadway in 1996, and later for the same role in the musical film release. He also portrayed Charlie Brown in the Broadway production of the musical “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” (1999). Rapp has been active in the entertainment industry since 1981.

To begin with, Anthony was raised by his mother Mary Lee Rapp, who worked as a nurse, as his parents divorced when the boy was two years old. He was educated at Joliet West High School in the small town of Joliet, with his brother Adam, who is a novelist and filmmaker.
Concerning his professional career, he first appeared on Broadway at the age of 10 in “The Little Prince and the Aviator”, based on Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “Little Prince”, but it was closed before full release.
