Vanilla Ice Wiki Biography

Vanilla Ice is a nickname which is being used by Robert Matthew Van Winkle, also known as V-Ice, MC Vanilla, Robert Van Winkle, Robbe, Ice man, Ice and Iceman. Vanilla is an American singer, record producer, musician, presenter and actor who has been able to gain estimated net worth as amazingly high as $18 million. He has already released several albums, and the most notable are “Bi-Polar”, “Platinum Underground”, “Hard to Swallow”, “Extremely Live, “Hooked”, “To the Extreme”. “W. T. F. (Wisdom, Tenacity and Focus)” and “Mind Blowin’‘.

Today, Vanilla Ice, thanks to his great talent while being a musician and actor who has played many different roles, is considered to be one of the richest personalities in the United States.

Robert Matthew Van Winkle was born on October 31. 1967, in Dallas, Texas, United States. He was raised by his mother and stepfather until 4 years old, and later his mother divorced and married a new man. However, Robert did not have an opportunity to meet his real biological father, and furthermore, he does not even know who he is. During his teenage years Vanilla was not interested in music very much, but he practiced the break dance and then received a nickname which he later used as a stage name – Vanilla. He was so named because in the group of teenagers who were spending time together Matthew was the only white boy, and even if he disliked his new nickname, he took to it later.

The first time Vanilla’s net worth increased seriously was in 1990, when he released his debut album entitled “To the Extreme”. It was a really great success for a young artist, as he was able to hit umber 1 on US Billboard 200 chart, and this is one of the main reasons why nowadays the estimated net worth of MC Vanilla is so amazingly huge that he is considered to be one of the richest rappers in the world.

The next more notable of Vanilla’s albums was released in 1994 – he worked on it for more than two years together with many other famous musicians, such as Jay-Z and Run-DMC. The album was entitled “Mind Blowin’” and actually did it – it became popular in the United States and Ice’s net worth increased even more.

The following album increased Ice’s net worth again, and was entitled “W. T. F. (Wisdom, Tenacity and Focus”. Thanks to the original title, great songs and the creativity of a singer it was almost as successful as the debut album, but was not able to hit US Billboard 200. Still the net worth of Vanilla increased one more time.

Vanilla Ice is also known as an actor who made several appearances, such as in the movie titled “Cool as Ice” in year 1991, where he performed as John Van Owen. Later he also appeared in movies “Da Hip Hop Withc”, “The New Guy”, “The Helix… Loaded” and “Big Money Rustlas”.

So now you can better understand how rich Vanilla Ice is.

Vanilla Ice Quotes

  • Learn from my mistakes and you don’t have to make them yourself.
  • It took me a while and a lot of hard times to figure out my purpose, I am so happy with my life. I just want to help make other people happy too.
  • When ‘Ice Ice Baby’ was selling a million records a day I bought several properties: a home next to Michael J. Fox in L.A., a palace in Miami and a mountain cabin in Utah. Then, a few years later, I took a break from touring, saw that my properties had cobwebs, so I sold them, and – to my surprise – I made a huge profit!
