Jeremy Allen Mayfield was born on the 27th May 1969 in Owensboro, Kentucky USA. He is best known for being a former race car driver, who competed in NASCAR driving cars for Bill Davis, Gene Haas, Roger Penske, and his own team named Mayfield Motorsports. He is also somewhat notoripus for being suspended for a positive drug test for methamphetamine. His career was active from 1987 to 2009.

Jeremy Mayfield spent his childhood in his hometown of Owensboro, where he began racing with BMX bicycles. Later, he transferred to race go-karts at the local track, but then he moved to Nashville, where he became a member of the Nashville Speedway USA, when he was 19 years old. Little by little his career improved, and he became a part of the Sadler Brothers Racing, firstly as a fabricator, but later as a driver. In 1987 he won the Late Model Rookie Of The Year Award at the Kentucky Motor Speedway.
He then continued successfully, and in 1993 became a part of the ARCA series, and immediately won the Rookie Of The Year Award. The same year, he joined the Sprint Cup series, and debuted at the Mello Yello 500, finishing 29th. His first win came five years later at the Pocono 500, a year after he became a part of the Kranefuss-Haas team, which was sold to the Penske Racing South and the name was changed. He finished the season seventh on points, which was his best finish in his entire career. He raced for the Penske Racing South until 2001, when he was released from contract due to several arguments with Roger Penske and his teammate Rusty Wallace.
Jeremy then signed a contract with Evernham Motorsports, owned by Ray Evernham in 2002, which added further to his net worth, however, his results didn`t become any better, as he finished his first season in 26th position. However, the following season he had 12 top ten finishes, and ended in 19th place.
In 2005, he had one win, at the GFS Marketplace 400, which helped him finish the season in 10th place on points, but the next year he was released from the team, and replaced by Bill Elliott.After that, he became a part of the Bill Davis Racing in 2007, but didn`t drive long for the team, as he parted ways with Bill Davis Racing after the season ended.
Before he was suspended for drug abuse in 2009, he started his own team, Mayfield Motorsports, and was also a part of the Haas CNC Racing, which added to his net worth.
Most recently, Jeremy has been driving in the KOMA Unwind Modified Madness Tour, and has also been a part of the Super Late Model racing since 2015. Furthermore, Jeremy founded a Dirt Late Model team, which will compete in the World Of Outlaws series.
