Balogun Francis was born on the 12th June 1963, in Arigidi, Nigeria, and is a controversial televangelist, pastor as well as philanthropist who, as Temitope Balogun Joshua (or T. B. Joshua), is most famous for being the founder and the leader of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (shortly SCOAN). He is also widely recognized as the founder of Africa’s biggest Christian television network – Emmanuel TV.

All of this was backed up by people who also claimed that they were cured and healed through Joshua’s “Anointing Water”. Besides “dealing” with possessed spirits during his service, Joshua also claims that he is a prophet who predicted events such as the Boston marathon bombing, Michael Jackson’s death and the 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, among many others.
