Stanley Joseph Lynch was born on 21 May 1955, in Cincinnati, Ohio USA, and is a musician, songwriter and record producer, best known for being a part of the band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, as their drummer for 18 years. He’s been active in the industry since the 1970s, and all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

He then met Ron Blair, future colleague with Tom Petty, and after matriculated from PK Yonge School in 1973, he moved to Los Angeles and started recording with. They invited Tom Petty and Mike Campbell to join them, leading to the formation of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.

While he became a part of the Heartbreakers recordings during the start of his career, he didn’t feel like he was improving on the drums until their fourth album entitled “Hard Promises”.

In 2002, he reunited with his former bandmates when they were inducted into the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame, playing two songs during their induction – “Mary Jane’s Last Dance”, and “American Girl”; Tom Petty would give Lynch a lot of praise in the book “Conversations with Tom Petty”.

Stan eventually gave away his drum set and started focusing on songwriting as well as production work. He also now teaches children drums at a friend’s store.

For his personal life, it is known that Lynch was in a relationship with actress Louise “Wish” Foley for five years. The two met while on the set for the production of the song “Don’t Come Around Here No More” – Foley played the Alice in Wonderland character in the music video.
