Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Hammond started acting at a very early age. As early as 1991, he had already made his first appearance on television in the series “Gabriel’s Fire”. He then appeared in the television movie “Lies and Lullabies”, and starred in small roles in the series “Coach” and “Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman” from 1996 to 1998. His early years in television made him a household name and also started his net worth.
