Born Bradford Gates Rutter on the 31st January 1978, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania USA, Brad is a television personality, best known to the world for being the highest-earning contestant in the game show “Jeopardy!” in which he appeared from 2000 to 2014. Brad has additionally appeared in several other quiz shows, including “1 vs. 100” (2006), and “Million Dollar Mind Game” (2011), and is ranked the person with the highest winnings from TV shows.

In his first stint, Brad won $55,102, and two Chevrolet cars, since he was a five-day undefeated champion. In the following years, Brad was invited to the Tournament of Champions thanks to his previous success and he came out as a winner, taking home the main prize of $100,000. He returned to “Jeopardy!” in 2002 for the Million Dollar Masters Tournament, won again, and with the prize of $1 million, Brad became the all-time money winner in the popular quiz.
Three years later he was again part of “Jeopardy!”, this time competing in the Ultimate Tournament of Champions, in which he won $2.1 million, considerably increasing his net worth. He only experienced his first loss in “Jeopardy!” in 2011, when he and another recorder, Ken Jennings competed against an IBM computer, built especially for the needs of the game show. Brad came in last, while Ken was second.
He returned to the quiz one more time in 2014, to participate in “the Battle of the Decades”, which included “Jeopardy!” champions from the last 30 years. Brad won the tournament and another $1 million, which made him the highest money-winner ever on American game shows. Brad participated in several other game shows, but none of those appearances were as fruitful as his several stints on “Jeopardy!”.
