Christopher Claus Andersen was born on 7 July 1978, in Long Beach, California USA, of part-Danish descent, and is a professional basketball player, best known to play in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Cleveland Cavaliers, but has also played for teams such as the New Orleans Hornets and the Denver Nuggets. All of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

Chris would become the first D-League player to be called by an NBA team, when he signed with the Denver Nuggets after two games with Fayetteville, rapidly becoming one of the top shot blockers and rebounders in the team, so earning the nickname “Birdman”, and continuing to play with the team until in 2004, when he secured a multi-year deal with the New Orleans Hornets, which significantly increased his net worth, and even appeared in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest the following year. The Hornets moved to Oklahoma the following year due to the effects of Hurricane Katrina. In 2006, Chris was disqualified from the NBA after testing positive for a banned substance, which led him to miss the next two years as he went to rehab, meantime working as a coach.

Andersen returned to the NBA after being granted his request to be reinstated in 2008, signing a one year deal with the Denver Nuggets which would then lead to another five-year deal which built up his net worth once again.
