Paul Michael “Paulie” Teutul was born on 2 October 1974, in Orange County, New York State USA. He is the co-founder of Orange County Choppers along with his father, and designed its logo. So how rich is Paul Teutul, Jr? Authoritative sources have estimated that Paul has a net worth of $10 million as of early 2016, which he has amassed from his motorcycle business, both his family’s and his own, as well as from the reality series which aired from 2003 to 2010.
Teutul is the son of Paul Teutul Sr. and Paula and the eldest of four children, having two brothers and a sister. At an early age, he was already showing an interest in assembling things. In his teenage years, he worked part-time in his father’s steel business, starting from the bottom until he became the head of the railing department. Then in 1999, he co-founded Orange County Choppers, a company which builds custom motorcycles in New York, and he also designed its famous logo at just 25 years of age. In his time with the company, he created well-known motorcycles such as Black Widow Bike, the Fire bike and the Jet Bike. In 2002, the company became the center of the reality TV show American Chopper, in which he became a celebrity along with his father and brother Michael. Five years later, the show was moved to The Lifestyle Channel (TLC). In 2009, Teutul was terminated from the company after having a disagreement with his father which was aired on the show. He was later re-hired, but decided to leave quit anyway, and became the company’s consultant for the duration of the series. His net worth was quite healthy.
Teutul then decided to open his own company, Paul Jr. Designs, which competes directly with Orange County Choppers. He hired several employees working under Choppers including Vincent Vinnie DiMartino, Nub, and his brother Michael. After one year of non-compete clause, his company went head-to-head with his father’s business, and which was featured on the reality series as an extension dubbed “Senior vs. Junior” on TLC. In addition to custom motorcycles, the company also sells branded clothing items. His first major client was The Coleman Company, which hired Teutul’s company to redesign “Roadtrip Grill” on its 10th anniversary. The success of the redesign led to other projects, and a review of other product lines to make them more innovative. His net worth continues to grow.
In his personal life, Teutul married long-time girlfriend Rachel Biester in August 2010 – Rachel’s search for a wedding gown was featured on the TLC show “Say Yes to the Dress”. In February 2015, they welcomed their first son, who they named Hudson Seven.
