Kevin DuBrow Wiki Biography

Kevin Mark Dubrow was born on 29 October 1955, in Los Angeles, California USA, and was a heavy metal singer, best known as the lead vocalist of Quiet Riot from 1975 to 1987. He then returned to the band in 1990, until his death in 2007. All of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it was prior to his passing.

How rich was Kevin Dubrow? As of early-2017, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $8 million, mostly earned through a successful career in music. He released numerous albums and scored several hits throughout the course of his career. He also did a lot of other music related projects, and all of these ensured the position of his wealth.

While growing up, he learned to play a 12-string guitar, and formed a band of 11-year-olds who played for senior citizens. When he got to his teens, he became interested in British rock bands such as Queen and The Small Faces.

Quiet Riot was initially formed by Randy Rhoads, and in 1975 he would recruit Kevin Dubrow and Drew Forsyth. This line-up would last for four years before Rhoads left to join Ozzy Osbourne, and was replaced by Greg Leon, and they then changed their name to Dubrow which had rotating band members. After Rhoads was killed in a plane crash, they changed their name back to Quiet Riot just before the release of the chart topping album “Metal Health”, and they became the first metal band to get top status in the US. A few of their hit songs in the album include “Cum on Feel the Noize” and “Metal Health (Bang Your Head)”. In 1987, Dubrow was fired from the band and he would then form a new band called Pretty Women, but his net worth was still healthy.

In 1991, he created a new band – Heat – alongside former bandmate Carlos Cavazo, and two years later, they changed their name back to Quiet Riot after Banali returned on the drums, and they would go on with changes in their line-up throughout the 1990s. Some the albums they released during this time include “Down to the Bone” and “Guilty Pleasures”.

In 2006, they started working on a new album that was set to release a year later, however they then decided that there was no timetable for the album, and they financed it themselves, and later in the year “Rehab” was released featuring Glenn Hughes.

Aside from Quiet Riot, Dubrow had a solo album entitled “In for the Kill” which had a collection of covers. He also worked as a morning DJ for KOMP 92.3 alongside Craig Williams.

For his personal life, Kevin had a girlfriend named Carrie in an on-off relationship over three decades. He was also known to have dated radio DJ Lark Williams. Dubrow was a photographer aside from music, thanks to which he met lead photographer Ron Sobol, who photographed the band’s concerts. In 2007, he was found dead at his home, a week after friends lost contact with him. Investigations revealed that he died of a cocaine overdose, and was dead six days before he was discovered. A lot of his friends and bandmates gave the eulogy during his funeral.
