Charles Kent Wilson was born on 29 January 1953, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, and is also known as Uncle Charlie. Charlie is an R&B singer, producer  and songwriter, and is perhaps best known as a former leader of the American R&B and funk band The Gap Band. Wilson has had many performances in collaboration with such celebrities as Kanye West, New Boyz, Lil’ Kim, T-Pain, Snoop Dog, The Notorious BIG., and Quincy Jones among others. There are no doubts such worldwide collaborations have added considerably to Charlie Wilson’s net worth, however, Charlie has also contributed significantly to his net worth from his solo career.

The group was actually active for 43 years, until they split up in 2010.
