Zacky Vengeance Wiki Biography
Zachary James Baker was born on the 11th December 1981 in Olympia, Washington, USA of German and Italian ancestry. Better known as Zachy Vengeance, he is a musician and rhythm guitarist, probably best recognized for being one of the founding members of the heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold. He was also a member of the bands Society Down and MPA. His career has been active since 1999.
So, have you ever wondered how rich Zachy Vengeance is, as of mid-2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that the total size of Zachy’s net worth is over $18 million, accumulated largely through his successful career in the music industry. Another source is coming from his involvement in the film industry, as he has created soundtracks for several famous film titles.
Zachy Vengeance spent one part of his childhood in his hometown with his parents, Maria and James Baker, and two siblings, until they moved to Huntington Beach, California. While he was still in primary school, he became extremely interested in music and his only wish was to learn how to play guitar, so his parents bought him one for his 13th birthday. He is left-handed, but the guitar was for a right-handed person, so he started practicing upside-down. He didn’t have a teacher, instead he learned it all by himself, by practicing as much as he could, and by watching videos of people he looked up to, playing guitar. He went to Huntington Beach High School, where he met his future colleagues M. Shadows and The Rev. During that period he founded his first band called Society Down, which was a crust punk band, but soon left it, and founded MPA (Mad Porno Action); however, both were unsuccessful.
Thus, Zachy’s professional musical career began in 1999, when he co-founded the heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold, alongside his friends The Rev and M. Shadows. In 2001 they released their debut studio album – “Sounding The Seventh Trumpet” – without major success, so he invented the abbreviation “A7X” for the band, after which they immediately became popular, and managed to perform with several remarkable bands at the time, such as Mushroomhead and Shadows Fall. The band’s second album was released in 2003, entitled “Waking The Fallen”, which peaked at No. 10 on the the Billboard 200 chart and achieved two gold certifications, adding a considerable amount to his net worth. By the end of the decade, they had released two more albums – “City Of Evil” in 2005, reaching No. 30 on the US Billboard 200 and certified platinum by the RIAA, and “Avenged Sevenfold” in 2007, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and was also certified platinum.
In 2010, they released “Nightmare”, which achieved enormous success and topped the Billboard 200, as well as their next album entitled “Hail To The King” (2013). Most recently, they released “The Stage” in 2016, and Zachy’s net worth is certainly rising. Furthermore, in 2008 and in 2016 came out compilation albums – “Live In The LBC & Diamonds in The Rough” and “The Best Of 2005–2013”. They also performed at the Monster Energy Rock Allegiance festival along with Alice in Chains, Breaking Benjamin, Slayer, and other bands.
To talk further about Zachy’s career, he made the soundtrack for the memorable comedy “Big Mama’s House 2” and for a video game called “EA Sports UFC”, which also had a huge influence on his net worth.
Zachy has won a number of prestigious awards, such as MTV Video Music Awards for Best New Artist, the Revolver Golden God Award for Best Guitarist – twice, in 2011 and 2014 – and was named the Best Metal Guitarist in the World by Total Guitar in 2016.
When it comes to his personal life, Zachy Vengeance was in marriage with Gena Paulhus from just 2011 to 2012, and he has been in a relationship with Meaghan Doe since 2014.
