Warren G Wiki Biography
Warren Griffin III was born on 10 November 1970, in Long Beach, California USA, and is a lyricist, rap artist, disc jockey, musician and an actor, known to the audience by his stage name Warren G, for his solo and collaborative rap albums during a career which actually began in the early ’90s.
So just how rich is Warren G? According to authoritative sources, Warren G’s net worth is estimated to be over $10 million; Warren G has accumulated the vast majority of his wealth during his involvement in the music industry, now stretching over almost 25 years.
Warren G began his career by forming a hip hop group called “213” that included his friends Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg. The group made several appearances on Dr. Dre’s and Kurupt’s songs but soon disbanded after Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg signed a record deal with Death Row Records.Warren G then had a fairly successful career as a solo artist and was featured on collaborations with MC Breed and Tupac Shakur, and one of his songs entitled “Indo Smoke” even appeared on the soundtrack of the “Poetic Justice” film with Janet Jackson and Tupac Shakur. Warren G’s impressive lyrics then gained him a spot Dr. Dre’s album “The Chronic”; these projects all contributed to his growing net worth.
Warren G soon earned public recognition as a solo artist as well, when he released a duet song with Nate Dogg called “Regulate”. The song was followed by his debut studio album entitled “Regulate… G Funk Ear” in 1994 that soared to #2 on the US Billboard charts and sold 176,000 copies during its first week. The album sold a total of four million copies worldwide and soon went triple platinum. Needless to say that Warren G’s fame, as well as his net worth, was at its peak during this time. Following the success of his debut album, Warren G released his second album “Take a Look Over Your Shoulder” that sold 500,000 copies, and in 1999 came out with his third studio album entitled “I Want It All”. The third album, that featured guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Mack 10 and Eve, was certified platinum in the United States. Before releasing “I Want It All”, Warren G was signed to an independent record label, “Restless Records”. His net worth continued to grow.
Even though none of his released albums shared similar success to his debut work, Warren G continued to record music and in 2004 released “The Hard Way” that was followed by “In the Mid-Nite Hour”. Warren G’s latest studio album was released in 2009 under the title of “The G Files” and featured such artists as Travis Barker, Snoop Dogg and Cassi Davis. Even though his musical ventures were not as impressive as his debut album, Warren G managed to sell 8 to 10 million records and accumulate a net worth of $10 million.
Warren G has also tried his luck in the business industry. In 2011, Warren G began promoting a male enhancement supplement called “Affirm XL”, and in 2013 began a partnership with Brand Elite and Bronco Wine Company. Warren G has been honored by the Mayor of Long Beach as he declared a week from August 1st till August 6th as the “Warren G Week”.
In his personal life, Warren G is married to Tenille, and they have four children.
