Vic Sotto Wiki Biography

Marvic Castelo Sotto was born on the 28th April 1954, in Manila, Philippines of Chinese descent. He is an actor, probably best recognized for starring in such TV and film titles as “Okay ka, fairy ko!” (1991), the “Enteng Kabisote” franchise, and “My Big Bossing” (2014). He is also known for owning M – Zet Productions, a film and TV production company, and well-known for being a host of the TV show “Eat Bulaga!”. His career has been active since 1977.

So, have you ever wondered how rich Vic Sotto is? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that the total amount of Vic’s net worth is over $10 million, as of mid- 2016. This sum of money is coming from his successful involvement in the entertainment industry as an actor and TV host, with another source being his ownership of a production company.

Vic Sotto was raised with three brothers by his father, Marcelino Ojeda Sotto, and his mother, Dr. Herminia Castelo. He attended Colegio de San Juan de Letran.

Vic’s career began during the late 1970s, when he started to perform as a musician, folk singer, and guitar player. He was known as the lead singer in VST & Company, a disco funk band, and he also produced a number of singles, such as “Rock, Baby, Rock”, “Awitin Mo at Isasayaw Ko”, and “Kung Sakali”, among others, which established his net worth.

Subsequently, he joined his brothers Val and Tito in the show “OK Lang”, which was aired on the IBC TV channel, where he met comedian Joey de Leon, and with whom he formed a trio together with his brother Tito, and they began to perform together.

Soon after, his professional acting career began, when he made his debut appearance in the TV series “Iskul bukol” in 1977. Two years later, he starred in “Swing It… Baby!”, “Mang Kepweng”, and “Mamang Sorbetero”. The new decade brought him a number of roles, which increased his net worth, such as in TV and films titles including “Si Ako at… tres muskiteros!” (1982), “Forward March” (1987), “Si Malakas at si Maganda” (1989), among others.

In 1990 he was chosen for the title role in the film “Crocodile Jones: The Son of Indiana Dundee”, and his next big role came in 2004, when he starred in the title role as well as in the frist part of the “Enteng Kabisote” film series named “Enteng Kabisote: Okay ka fairy, the legend”. In the following year, he repeated the role in its sequel – “Enteng Kabisote 2: Okay ka fairy ko… The legend continues”, and he featured in the TV series “Daddy di do du” (2005-2006), playing Kul.

In 2006, came the third part of the film series “Enteng Kabisote 3: Okay ka fairy ko… The legend goes on and on and on”, and in the next year the last part was released – “Enteng Kabisote 4: Okay ka fairy ko… The beginning of the legend”, increasing further his net worth.

Most recently, Vic starred in “The Jose & Wally Show Starring Vic Sotto” (2011-2012), “My Little Bossings” (2013), “My Bebe Love: #KiligPaMore” (2015), and “Hay, bahay!” (2016). His net worth is certainly rising.

Beside that, Vic Sotto is also known as a TV host, who has worked for three channels – ABS-CBN, GMA Network and TV5, and is probably best known as a host of “Eat Bulaga!”, the longest running noon-time variety show in the Philippines.

Regarding his personal life, Vic Sotto has been married to host Pauleen Luna since 2016. Previously, he was in marriage with Dina Bonnevie (1988-1992), with whom he has two children. He also has a son with actress Coney Reyes, and a daughter with former TV model Angela Luz.
