Urijah Christopher Faber is an Isla Vista, California-born American mixed martial artist, best known for being the winner of the WEC Featherweight Championship title in 2006 and holding onto it for two consecutive years. Born on 14 May 1979, Urijah has Dutch,(father) and Italian, English and Irish (mother) ancestry. He has been active in the field of mixed martial arts since 2003.

After he won this reputable title, he held on to it for the next two years, defeating major mixed martial artists including Joe Pearson and Dominique Crux and others. Noted for his “guillotine choke”, Faber became a popular face in the sport, finding fame as a bantamweight and featherweight champion.
