Todd James Eldredge Wiki Biography
Todd James Eldredge was born on 28 August 1971, in Chatham, Massachusetts USA, and is a retired competitive figure skater, best known from being the 1996 World champion. He also became the US national champion six times throughout his career, which was active from 1976 to 2002; all of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.
How rich is Todd Eldredge? As of mid-2017, sources inform us of a net worth that is at $10 million, mostly earned through a successful career in competitive figure skating. He also competed in three Winter Olympics. As he continues his endeavors, it is expected that his wealth will also continue to increase.
At five years of age Todd was already skating, and five years later he would start training competitively, at the Detroit Skating Club and at the Onyx with Richard Callaghan. In 1987 he would win silver at the World Junior Championships, and then gold the following year, also winning bronze at the 1988 Skate America. The following year, Todd won his first senior national title, and his net worth was starting to grow, as he was sent to the 1990 World Championships where he finished fifth. After becoming national champion once again the following year, he then took bronze at the 1991 World Championships. He missed out on the 1992 US Championships but participated at the 1992 Winter Olympics, placing 10th.
Eldredge would struggle during the next two seasons but would regain his momentum in 1994, with silver at the Goodwill Games, and gold at the NHK Trophy as well as Skate America. He then secured his third national title which would lead him to a silver spot at the 1995 World Championships. The following year, he only got silver at the US, but this time won Gold at the World Championships. He won Skate America in 1996, but had a controversial loss against Elvis Stojko in the Grand Prix finals, then won the US title, and would finish second at the World Championships. His net worth continued to increase at a fast pace.
Todd then had several wins as well as controversial losses in the 1997 season. He won Skate America despite sustaining an injury, and then finished third at the Grand Prix while many believed he could’ve got second. He had a big loss during his second Olympics, but rebounded to win silver at the World Championships. While he continued to compete in the professional circuit, he also returned to amateur figure skating events. He competed in various events in 1999, but did not skate at the World Championships, nor the 2001 Four Continents Championships due to an injury. He secured his sixth US title the following year, and then retired from competition.
In 2008, Eldredge was inducted into the US Figure Skating Hall of Fame. He did coaching work as well, disrupted by surgery in 2012 for a hip replacement. He continues to coach mainly at the Dr Pepper Star Center located in Frisco, Texas.
For his personal life, it is known that Todd married Megan McCrea in 2005 but they divorced in 2009. Three years later, he married graphic designer and former skater Sabrina Corbaci; they have two children.
