Born on the 15th September 1962, Thomas Mikal Ford is an American actor, producer, director, and author perhaps best known for his role as Tommy in the television show “Martin”.

Born in Yonkers, New York, Ford was a constant face on television, starring in shows like “Harlem Nights” in 1989 and “Across the Track” in 1990, but it was in 1992 that he got his big break. Ford was included in the television show “Martin”, in which he played Thomas Straw, best friend of the main character played by Martin Lawrence. His character served as the voice of reason and the subject of most jokes by Lawrence.
