Thomas Ian Nicholas was born on 10 July 1980, in Las Vegas, Nevada USA, of German, Irish, English and Italian descent. He is an actor, singer, musician, producer, director, and writer, but probably best known for his roles in the films “Rookie of the Year” and “Walt Before Mickey”, and in the “American Pie” franchise.
So just how rich is Thomas Ian Nicholas? Sources state that Nicholas has earned a net worth over $3 million, as of mid-2016. His wealth has been established through his involvement in the film and television industry, as well as during his singing career, all of which began in the late 1980s.
Nicholas was raised in Las Vegas by his mother Marla, a professional dancer and an acting school administrator. His professional acting career started when he was seven years old, appearing as Tony Danza in the 1988 television series “Who’s the Boss?”. From then on, he made numerous television appearances as in such series as “Baywatch”, “Married… With Children”, “Santa Barbara”, “Sisters” and “Julie”.
Ian made his film debut with the 1992 “Radio Flyer”, and went on to take a leading role as Henry Rowengartner in the 1993 sports comedy film “Rookie of the Year”, and as Calvin Fuller in the 1995 Disney film “A Kid in King Arthur’s Court”, which boosted his popularity among audiences and considerably added to his net worth.
After a number of film and television appearances in the ‘90s, Nicholas landed the role as Kevin Myers in the 1999 hit comedy film “American Pie”. He went on to reprise this role in three sequels during the 2000s, the 2001 “American Pie 2”, the 2003 “American Wedding” and the 2012 “American Reunion”. His involvement in the franchise significantly contributed to his popularity, and to his wealth as well.
Nicholas’ other notable film roles of the early 2000s were as Bill Woodlake in “Halloween: Resurrection”, as Frank Sinatra, Jr. in “Stealing Sinatra”, as rookie cop Chad Wesley in “Life Is Hot in Cracktown”, as Eugene in “Please Give” and as Abbie Hoffman in “The Chicago 8”. In 2004 he made his directorial and screenwriting debut, with the comedy film “L.A. D.J.”, adding consistently to his net worth.
Aside from films, he has made guest appearances in numerous television series and has acted in several television films as well. He had a recurring role as Todd Marsh in the hit television series “Party of Five” and made guest appearances in the popular series “Medium” and “Grey’s Anatomy”. His most recent television involvement was a recurring role as Nick Hutchison in the series “Red Band Society” in 2014.
As for films, he played the leading role as Walt Disney in the 2015 biographical drama “Walt Before Mickey”. Shortly after, he was in the 3D computer-animated action-adventure drama entitled “Bilal: A New Breed of Hero”, announced to be released in fall 2016.
Aside from his involvement in the film and television industry, Nicholas has also pursued a singing career. Back in the ‘90s he had his own band called “The Tin Men”, in which he sang vocals and played guitar. The band released one album, the 1999 “Something More”. His solo debut album, entitled “Without Warning”, came out in 2008. Two more albums followed, the 2009 “Without Warning Acoustic” and the 2010 “Heroes are Human”. He released a self-titled EP in 2012, with the single “My Generation” being featured on the “American Reunion” soundtrack album. His most recent release was the 2014 EP titled “Security”. He has also been credited for co-writing the song “All the Way” from Blue Traveler’s 2015 album “Blow Up the Moon”. Nicholas’ singing career has reinforced his status among stars, and has improved his net worth too.
In his private life, Nicholas has been married to Collete Marino, a house music DJ and vocalist known as DJ Collete, since 2007. The couple has two children together.

Thomas Ian Nicholas Quotes
- [on sharing an exact birthday with fellow singer-actress Jessica Simpson] It’s an honor when people say that I must be what her twin brother would look like, if she had one. We’ve never collaborated, however – and quite honestly, I’m not sure we resemble each other closely enough to warrant the comparison.
- [on American Reunion (2012)] This movie gives us permission to be juvenile in a way the real world doesn’t let us be. As actors, how great is it to go back and act like stupid twelve-year-olds again?
