Jukka Hildén, Jarno Leppälä, Hannu-Pekka Parviainen, and Jarno Laasala all went to the same elementary school together, and then while as teenagers, they became interested in snowboarding, downhill mountain biking, and skateboarding. The series very quickly became the most popular on MoonTV, so the show was moved to the nationwide TV-channel Nelonen in September 2001, and it continued to run until 2004.

The Dudesons then decided to test international waters, and started filming in both the Finnish and English language, and from 2006 they began airing the self-titled show, which ran for five seasons until 2014. The series helped them to increase their respective net worth, and also raise the group’s popularity in the stunt industry. In 2010, they filmed “The Dudesons in America”, which was aired for one season, while from 2014 to 2016, The Dudesons appeared in “Posse”.
