Tasha Marbury Wiki Biography
Born as Latasha Rochelle Frieson on the 11th January 1976 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina USA, Tasha is a reality TV star, best known to the world for her appearance in the VH1’s reality series “Basketball Wives” (2013). She is married to former National Basketball Association (NBA) All-Star Stephon Marbury, therefore her last name is Marbury.
Have you ever wondered how rich Tasha Marbury is, as of mid- 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Marbury’s net worth is as high as $45 million, an amount earned through her successful career on TV, however, she has also benefited from marrying the basketball star.
A Winston-Salem native, Tasha grew up living in a household that comprised her two siblings and single mother. After matriculating from high school, Tasha enrolled at North Carolina State University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology in 1998. She then furthered her studies by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey two years later. Even before she finished her studies, Tasha married Stephon Marbury, in 1999.
Tasha was projected to appear in the first season of the “Basketball Wives”, however, Stephon objected to that decision, and as a result, Tasha missed out on her potential TV career start. However, that changed in 2013, when she joined Suzie Ketcham, Tami Roman, Evelyn Lozada, and Shaunie O’Neal in the fifth season of the highly popular reality show. Thanks to her engagement in the reality program, Tasha’s net worth increased by a large degree.
There is minimal information about Tasha’s life otherwise, except for a 2011 court case in which she was denied insurance payments after handing over jewelry to a valuer, who she claimed had stolen the pieces – the court decided that as she had voluntarily handed over the jewelry, then technically it had not been stolen. She alleged that therefore she was close to a million dollars out of pocket!
Regarding her personal life, Tasha and Stephon have been married since 1999; the two are parents of Xaviera Marbury and Stephon Marbury II, while Tasha is stepmother to Stephon’s daughter, Stephanie, which is a product of one of his previous relationships.
