Tamera Mowry Wiki Biography
Tamera Darvette Mowry-Housley was born on 6 July 1978, in Gelnhausen, West Germany of English (father) and Afro-Bahamian (mother) descent. Tamera is an American actress, model, singer and television producer probably best known as the star of the TV show called “Sister, Sister” in which she appeared with her twin sister Tia, and as one of the lead actresses in a Disney movie “Twitches” and its sequel “Twitches Too”.
So just how rich is Tamera Mowry? Sources estimate that her current net worth is $4 million. The main factor that has over the years contributed to Tamara’s net worth is her appearance in various movies and TV shows.
Tamera Mowry’s acting career began in Germany, when she and her twin sister were still kids. Because of their father’s involvement in the US Army, the whole family (the parents, twin sisters and two brothers) had to move to the US, deciding to settle in California. The first twins’ manager and bodyguard was their own mother Darlene Renee Mowry who was supportive of her daughters’ careers from the very start. At the beginning of her career while still a teenager, Tamera and Tia appeared in the sitcom “True Colours”, and an episode of Disney’s show “The Mickey Mouse Club”. While these shows weren’t extremely popular, they provided the visibility which later led to the twins starring in the sitcom “Sister, Sister” in 1994, which ran successfully for five years and was a great push forward in both Tamera’s and Tia’s careers.
In 2005, Tamera and Tia became the stars of Disney Channel’s original movie “Twitches”, which was based on the popular book series about twin sisters with magical powers. At that time, “Twitches” scored the highest rating among Disney Channel’s movies – over seven million viewers on the premiere night. The amazing success of the first movie led to Disney’s decision to release a sequel called “Twitches Too” in 2007 with Tamera and Tia as the main characters. It is entirely possible that her appearances in these Disney movies is what has contributed the most to her career and net worth.
In 2011, Tamera and her twin sister starred in the TV show made especially for them called “Tia and Tamera”. The show was a success and in 2013, Tamera was chosen to be one of the hosts on the talk show called “The Real”, alongside Tamar Braxton, Jeannie Mai, Adrienne Bailon and Loni Love”.
Between 1995 and 1998, Tamera and her twin sister Tia won four Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and have been nominated for People’s Choice and Teen Choice Awards in 2012.
In her private life, after dating for six years Tamera married Fox News Correspondent Adam Housley 2011. During the time they were dating, Tamera publicly revealed that she is a faithful Christian and had chosen to stay celibate until marriage. They have one child together – a son named Aden John Tanner, and are expecting another child, a girl in July, 2015.

Whereas I’m like ‘Whatever.’ You look in my room and it looks neat enough but if you dared to look under my bed or in my closet, oh what a mess!”.
