Tamar Estine Braxton-Herbert Wiki Biography
American reality television star, dancer, actress, as well as a singer and songwriter Tamar Estine Braxton-Herbert, was born on 17 March 1977, in Severn, Maryland, and debuted in the music industry in 1989 at 12 years of age, when she formed an R&B group with her sisters, called The Braxtons.
So just how rich is Tamar Braxton, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, Tamar’s net worth is estimated to be over $15 million, most of which she has accumulated from her singing career, as well as appearances on television screens. However, in 2013 she also pocketed $3.5 million when she sold her house in Los Angeles, besides adding $190,000 dollars from the sales of her “Love and War” album, and a similar amount the same year from the sales of “Winter Loversland”.
The Braxtons signed a record deal with “Arista Records”, and their first song entitled “Good Life” came out in 1990, peaking at #79 on the Billboard chart. Since their age difference caused a lot of marketing issues, and the group’s contract with “Arista Records” was annulled, so Tamar and her two other sisters performed as backup singers for Toni Braxton, as she went on a tour in the United States. In 1996, “The Braxtons” released their only studio album entitled “So Many Ways”. In 1998, Tamar met the record producer Christopher Stewart with whom she started working on her debut album, which she called “Ridiculous”. Prior to releasing the album, Tamar came out with two singles to generate public interest in her work, however, the tracks were not very successful, so Braxton’s album was cancelled as well.
Two years later, Braxton signed a deal with “Dreamworks Records”, under which she released “Tamar” to rather positive critical feedback; the album includes guest appearances from such well-known artists as Missy Elliott, Tricky Stewart and Jermaine Dupri among others. Up to date, Tamar Braxton has now released three studio albums, the most recent of which entitled “Winter Loversland” came out in 2013, although the sisiters collaborated again in 2015 to produce “Braxton Family Christmas” which also no doubt added to her net worth.
Aside from singing, Tamar Braxton was one of the cast members in the reality television series called “Braxton Family Values”, appearing alongside her siblings. The series premiered in 2011, and has so far aired five seasons and over 70 episodes. In addition to that, the series has inspired the release of the “Tamar & Vince” show, which focuses on the lives of Tamar and her husband Vincent Herbert.
Most recently, in 2015 Tamar appeared in the 21st season of “Dancing with the Stars” paired with Valentin Chmerkovskiy, finishing fifth. Rumour has it that Tamar has been contracted to produce her own TV talk show with 112th Street Productions in 2017.
In regards to her personal life, Tamar married songwriter and producer Darrell “Delite” Allamby in 2001, but they divorced in 2003. Tamar Braxton then dated record producer and founder of “Streamline Records” Vincent Herbert; they married in 2008, and have a son.
