Takeo Spikes was born on the 17th December 1976 in Augusta, Georgia, USA, and is a former professional football player who played as a linebacker in the National Football League (NFL) for the Cincinnati Bengals (1998–2002), Buffalo Bills (2003–2006), Philadelphia Eagles (2007), San Francisco 49ers (2008–2010), and San Diego Chargers (2011–2012). Spikes is a two-time Pro Bowler (2003 and 2004) and made it to the First-team All-Pro (2004). His career started in 1998 and ended in 2012.

The Cincinnati Bengals selected Spikes as the 13th pick in the 1998 NFL Draft, and he started all pre-season and regular season games in his rookie year. He recorded 122 tackles and two sacks, and was appointed as a new team captain in 1999 when Takeo had 103 tackles, three sacks, four fumbles forced, four fumbles recovered, and two interceptions. The following season, Spikes recorded a career-best 128 combined tackles (109 solo), while in 2001 he had a career-high six sacks.
In 2003, Takeo signed a six-year $32 million contract with the Buffalo Bills, and in his first season with the Bills Spikes made it to his first Pro Bowl, after recording 126 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, and two recovered fumbles. In 2004, Spikes had a career-high five interceptions for 122 yards, and two touchdowns, earning his place to a consecutive Pro Bowl. In September 2005, Takeo suffered a season-ending Achilles, and upon his recovery, he stayed for two more seasons in Buffalo, before being traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in March 2007.
Spikes spent only one season in Philly, and then he signed a deal with the San Francisco 49ers in August 2008, where he served as the team captain for all three seasons. Spikes also recorded over 100 tackles in 2010 and 2011, before in July 2011 joining the San Diego Chargers on a three-year deal, but stayed for only two seasons before the Chargers released him in March 2013. Takeo failed to find a new club during 2013, so he decided to retire.
Regarding his personal life, Takeo Spikes dated Tionne Watkins from 2006 to 2009, but at the moment, it is unknown if he married or not, but he does have a son.
