Susan Jane Miller was born on the 14th August 1946, in Los Angeles, California USA, of Irish, English and German descent, and is an actress who, as Susan Saint James, is most famous for her appearances in “McMillan & Wife” “Kate & Allie” and “The Name of the Game” TV series, as well as in movies such as “Love at First Bite” (1979), “Carbon Copy” (1981) and “Don’t Cry, It’s Only Thunder” (1982).

Have you ever wondered how much wealth this veteran actress has accumulated, as of early 2017? How rich Susan Saint James is? According to sources, it is estimated that Susan’s net worth exceeds $10 million, acquired through her career in the entertainment industry which has been active since 1966.

Although she was born in LA, to teacher Constance and businessman Charles Daniel Miller, Susan grew up in Rockford, Illinois where she first embraced a modeling career. She enrolled at the Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart but transferred to the Connecticut College for Women. At the age of 20, she relocated to LA again to pursue an acting career full time. She debuted in 1966 in the role of Peggy Chan in the TV movie “Fame Is the Name of the Game”, followed by the role of Julia Preston in the 1967 TV comedy movie, “Ready and Willing”. These engagements helped Susan Saint James to establish herself as a promising young actress, and also provided the basis for her net worth.

A breakthrough in Susan’s acting career occurred in 1968, when she was cast as a regular for two TV series, “It Takes a Thief” and “The Name of the Game” in which she portrayed Peggy Maxwell. For the latter engagement, Susan was honored with Primetime Emmy Award in 1969 and was also nominated for the same award in 1970 and 1971. In 1971, Susan was cast in a recurring role of the main character’s wife Sally McMillan in the “McMillan & Wife” TV series, appearing in 34 episodes through the series’ six seasons ’til 1976 when it was canceled. This role earned Susan three consecutive nominations for both, Primetime Emmy Award as well as Golden Globes Award in 1972, 1973 and 1974. These memorable roles certainly helped Susan Saint James to add significantly to her net worth.

Throughout the 1970s and the early 1980s, Susan managed to keep an uninterrupted streak of acting engagements, adding several notable roles to her portfolio, including movies “Outlaw Blues” (1977), “Love at First Bite” and “The Girls in the Office” both in 1979 and “The Kid from Nowhere” (1982), as well as “M*A*S*H” TV series. In 1984, Susan was cast for the leading role of Kate McArdle in “Kate & Allie” TV series, which she portrayed ’til 1989 and which earned her two more Emmy nominations. These engagements dramatically boosted the size of Susan Saint James’ wealth.

In the 1990s, Susan’s acting career began to wane, as she appeared only in “The Drew Carey Show” in 1996. In 2006, she starred as Monica Bradshaw in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” TV series, while in 2011 she appeared as Joy McAfferty in “Suits” TV series.

In 2008, Susan Saint James was rewarded with a star on the Television Hollywood Walk of Fame.

When it comes to her personal life, Susan has married three times – in 1967 she married writer Richard Neubert for just a year before they divorced. Between 1971 and 1979 she was married to make-up artist Tom Lucas with whom she has two children. Since 1981, Susan has been married to producer and NBC’s executive, Dick Ebersol, with whom she has three children.
