Steven George Gerrard was born on 30 May 1980, in Whiston, Merseyside England, and is a well respected English international football player who has spent his entire club career with Liverpool FC since 1997, and has also represented his country 114 times following his debut in 2000.

So just how rich is Steven Gerrard? Sources have recently estimated that Steven Gerrard’s net worth has reached more than $60 million, including a total of over $17 million in his last year, which Steve has earned while playing for Liverpool, including leading the team as a captain, and from his international games for England, plus fron various endorsements.

As with most boys in England, Steven Gerrard started playing football in his early childhood. After trialling with Manchester United, Steven began his professional career as well as the accumulation of his net worth in November 1997 after signing a contract with Liverpool. He made his debut in the following season,  and quickly established himself in the team, and became an England player within two years. Both these achievements in themselves were big boosts to the accumulation of his net worth, which was subsequently increased significantly when he was appointed club captain in 2003.Steven was also appointed captain of England in 2012,

Steven Gerrard’s major playing position has been as a midfielder, but he he has also played as a right winger, right back or second striker, to the extent where in 708 games for his club, he has scored 184 goals, plus 21 goals for England. However, as with other players who have a major influence on the game without necessarily scoring that many goals, Steven Gerrard’s net worth has increased considerably over the years as he is recognised as one of the best players of his generation in the country, talented, enthusiastic, a tireless worker, and a genuine team player as well as an accurate goal scorer.

While playing for Liverpool, Steven Gerrard awards have been considerable: he and the team has won the FA Challenge Cup twice, The Football League Cup three times, The Football Association Community Shield in 2004, The UEFA Champions League in 2004, The UEFA Europa League in 2000 and The UEFA Super Cup twice in 2001 and in 2005. Of course all these successes contributed to the growth of Steven’s net worth.

Steven’s net worth has also increased every time he has been honoured for his individual results including being named the Liverpool Top Goal Scorer three times, received the England Player of the Year Award twice, the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year, the FA Cup Final Man of the Match and a number of other awards and honours. Most impressively, for his achievements and contributions to the football game in England, he became a Member of the Order of the British Empire, awarded by Queen Elizabeth II in 2007.

Moreover, his autobiographical book  ‘Gerrard: My Autobiography’ was published in 2005, which won the British Book Award as the Sports Book of the Year, also adding to Gerrard’s overall amount of net worth. His off-field activities have also made a significant impact on Steven Gerrard’s net worth amount. Steven has had the contracts with companies such as Lucozade, Jaguar Cars, Adidas, Xbox One and other famous companies.

In 2011, Gerrard appeared in the film “Will” about an orphaned young Liverpool fan who hitch-hikes to the 2005 UEFA Champions League final.

In January 2015, the Los Angeles Galaxy of the US Major League Soccer announced the signing of Gerrard to an 18-month ‘designated player’ contract, reportedly worth $9 million, to commence July 2015 at the end of the Premier League season.

Steven Gerrard Quotes

  • 107 caps isn’t bad for someone who isn’t ‘a top, top player’, is it? I never expected to get that amount of caps. When I made my debut, I set myself the personal target of trying to get 50 caps and score 10 goals if I could. So to have 107 is something I am really proud of, particularly being among those names.
  • It will be a dream come true if I can go there and lift it.
  • But I think the Champions League Final puts a massive pressure on every player and the manager, but we’re enjoying the pressure and hopefully we can go there and win it.
  • The Champions League is the competition everyone wants to be in.
  • I think everyone around the world knows the tools are there in England’s armoury to do well in a World Cup. The challenge is to go out there and prove it.
  • I am gonna go into my coaching badges after my England days are finished and I have the time on my international break.
  • The fans have played a massive part in getting us to where we are, but the job’s not finished.
  • I listen to the phone-ins on the way home and I know how the fans feel.
  • Grilled salmon and brown pasta works for me every time.
  • I’m a fan myself and I’m frustrated just as much as them when we get beat.
  • I watched Italia ’90 with my Mum and Dad and my brother, you know, leaping around the house when the penalties were on… It would be great to be part of that, to have that kind of impact.
  • Against Juventus we were massive underdogs, so to beat them was fantastic.
  • But I it doesn’t matter who scores the goals so long as we win.
  • When I leave the car park at Melwood, I try and become a completely different person. I try to get away from it. You have got to. Otherwise you end up like Jamie Carragher – obsessed!
  • We are Liverpool Football Club and the expectations are so high.
  • I’m born in Liverpool, I’m a Liverpool supporter.
  • The odds were against us, but we deserve to be where we are.
  • I have no regrets.
  • I think it all goes down to who plays the better football on the night.
  • Hopefully it’ll give us a bit of luck on the night, but I’m not really a superstitious person.
  • To me it’s the best trophy you can win and to bring it back for all them fans that have supported us right through would be something special.
  • If other people want to talk about my future I can’t control that.
  • Even now I can say I’d love to finish my career here, and then stay in the game after that.
  • It’s too easy to blame other people in football.
  • I think we’ve got a lot players in the squad who are more suited to European football at the moment.
  • There’s no doubt that the squad needs strengthening if we are to get back up among the top three because they are operating on another level to us at the moment.
  • It was difficult knowing one of your cousins had lost his life.
  • I’ve got absolutely no intention of ever going to play at another club.
  • I might be an ambassador.
  • I was always determined to make it as a footballer, but if things hadn’t worked out, I’d have maybe followed my dad into the building industry.
  • If you don’t play well, you have a bad game or a nightmare you know that the amount of coverage is worldwide.
  • In football, the hero and legend status is given out far too easily for me.
  • I have always applied myself the same for club and country.
  • This club is all about winning trophies and we’ve got a chance of bringing the greatest trophy of them all back to Anfield, so it means a great deal obviously.
  • I think every player listens out for his name being sung and it’s something I really enjoy.
  • I share their frustration at times and I get down just like them when we suffer a bad result.
