Have you ever wondered how rich is Steve Tisch, as of early 2016? According to sources, it is estimated that the overall size of Steve’s net worth is over $1.2 billion, with the main source of money being, of course, his career in the entertainment industry. Another source is coming from his ownership of the American Football team.
Steve Tisch was raised by Preston Robert Tisch, a film executive and the co-owner of the New York Giants, and his wife, Joan Hyman. His career in the entertainment industry began while he attended Tufts University. Before he became known as a film producer, he created several short films, working for Columbia Pictures. However, in 1976, he decided to leave Columbia Pictures, and created his first film a year later, entitled “Outlaw Business”.
The following year, he was the executive producer for the film “Almost Summer”, and until 1983, when he made his breakthrough with the film “Risky Business”, Steve created films such as “Homeward Bound” (1980), “Coast To Coast” (1980), and “Prime Suspect” (1982). Following the success of the “Risky Business”, which gave Tom Cruise his first lead role, Steve`s name became more and more sought in Hollywood, which only benefited his net worth. In the next few years, he produced films such as “Silence Of The Heart” (1984), “Calendar Girl Murders” (1984), “Soul Man” (1986), “Big Business” (1988), and “Out On The Edge” (1989).
With the beginning of the 1990s, his career reached a whole new level, producing high budget films including “Forrest Gump” (1994), with Tom Hanks in the lead role and which won an Oscar for Best Picture. “Corina, Corina” (1994), “Long Kiss Goodnight”, with Samuel L. To speak further of his accomplishments during the 1990s, Steve was the producer of films such as “American History X” (1998), with Edward Norton, Edward Furlong and Beverly D’Angelo as stars of the film, “The Postman” (1997), in which Kevin Costner was the lead character, and films such as “Dear God” (1996), and “The People Next Door” (1996).
The 2000s didn`t change much, only the number of films in which Steve showed his talents, starting with the hit film “Snatch” (2000), with Brad Pitt, and Jason Statham in lead roles , moving on to “Pursuit Of Happiness” (2006), in which Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith expressed their talents. In 2009, Steve produced of the film “Knowing”, and in the same year the film “The Taking Of Pelham 1 2 3”. Furthermore, Steve`s net worth benefited from his involvement in the films such as “Sex Tape” (2014), “The Equalizer” (2014), and most recently Steve took credit for films “Southpaw” (2015), “Unfinished Business” (2015), and he is also a producer of the sequel “The Equalizer 2” (2017).
