María de la Soledad Teresa O’Brien was born on the 19th September 1966, on Long Island in New York State, USA of Cuban (mother) and Australian-Irish ancestry. She is a television journalist who currently works for CNN, since January 2012 being a presenter for the morning program “Starting Point”. She also worked on “American Morning” for the period from 2003 to 2007. She is the winner of an Emmy Award.
