He has been active in his profession since 1981.

One of the most successful and prominent musicians in America, one may wonder how rich is Perry Farrell at the present? As estimated by sources, Perry counts his wealth at an amount of $50 million in mid-2016. Of course, he has managed to amass this fortune being a musician for more than 30 years. He has been prominent in the field as a part of various bands as well as a solo artist during his career.

Queens, New York City raised Perry was born on 29 March 1959, and was brought up in a Jewish family by his father, a jeweler as his mother died by committing suicide when he was only three years old. After matriculating from high school, Perry moved to California in order to pursue a career as a surfer. However, while surfing Perry also started his career in music as the front-man for the band “Psi Com” in 1981. As a member of “Psi Com”, Perry travelled with bands such as Red Hot Chilli Peppers and The Minutemen. When the band broke up in 1985, Perry joined with Eric Avery to form another band named “Jane’s Addiction”, which became very famous and earned a wide fan-base in the 1980s, as they released albums including “Jane’s Addiction”, “Ritual De Lo Habitual” and more.

Perry is still a part of the band “Jane’s Addiction” even though the band has broken-up four times. In 1992, Farrell formed a new band named “Pornos For Pyros”, and worked with bandmates Stephen Perkins, Peter DiStefano and Martyn LeNoble. The band released successful albums like “Good God’s Urge” and “Pornos For Pyros”., but when the band broke up in 1998, Farrell started his solo career, and released the album “Song Yet To Be Sung”. His song “Go All The Way” was featured on the soundtrack of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson-starring Hollywood movie “Twilight”. He is also well known for creating the music festival named “Lollapalooza”, along with his friends Marc Geiger and Ted Gardner, before their band Jane’s Addiction dissolved for the first time in 1991.

Regarding his personal life, 57 years old Perry is married to Etty Lau Farrell, a professional dancer since 2002. The couple has two sons together. For now, Perry enjoys his career as one of the most successful and prominent musicians in America while his present net worth of $50 million caters to his and his family’s daily lives.

Along with being a successful musician, Perry is also known to be an environmentalist and social worker. Notably, he donated earnings form one of his concerts for the release of Sudanese slaves in 2001, being a member of Christian Solidarity International. Other of his notable works include his meeting with then British Prime Minister Tony Blair to talk about global warming, and fund-raising for a New York non-profit organization “Road Recovery” which helps the youth battling with addictions.
