So how rich is Sheryl Crow? Sources estimate that Sheryl’s net worth is over $40 million, undoubtedly the majority of her wealth coming from her singing career.
Sheryl Crow was born into a musical family, with her mother Bernice (née Cain), a piano teacher, and her father Wendell Wyatt Crow a lawyer and trumpet player. She attended Kennett High School, and then studied at the University of Missouri, graduating with a BA degree in music composition, performance, and education. Prior to her international success, Sheryl Crow taught music at an elementary school and then worked as a back-up vocalist for Michael Jackson, with whom she toured on his “Bad World Tour”.
Sheryl Crow’s rise to success began in 1993 when she joined a group of singers who went by the name of “Tuesday Music Club”. That same year Sheryl Crow released her debut album called “Tuesday Night Music Club”, which brought her a lot of media attention and public exposure. Even though the first single of the album did not meet expectations, the third single titled “All I Wanna Do” did well on the market and even reached #2 on the Billboard charts, earning a Grammy Award for the Record of the Year, as well as Best Female Pop Performance Award. It was largely due to this song that the album sold over 5.3 million copies worldwide and was eventually awarded the Platinum certificate by the RIAA, and which contributed significantly to Sheryl’s net worth
After the success of “Tuesday Night Music Club”, Sheryl Crow came out with a self-titled second studio album, which peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200 chart and sold over 2.4 million copies worldwide.
At the peak of her career, Sheryl Crow began making more public appearances, which significantly contributed to her overall fame. Several years later, in 2005, Crow released her fifth studio work entitled “Wildflower”, an album that peaked at #2 and was nominated for a Grammy Award. One of the songs, namely “Real Gone” was featured in the Pixar’s animated film “Cars”, while another song called “Try Not To Remember” was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. During her singing career, Sheryl Crow has released a total of nine studio albums, the most recent being “Feels Like Home”, which was listed as one of the ten best country albums of the year 2013.
However, Sheryl Crow is not only a talented singer, but an actress too. In 1990, Crow made an appearance in one of the episodes of the police drama series “Cop Rock”, and in 1996 made her film debut with “Fairway to Heaven”, in which she portrayed the role of a reporter. In addition to these appearances, Sheryl Crow starred in “30 Rock” with Tracy Morgan and Alec Baldwin, “The Minus Man”, as well as “Hannah Montana” with Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus.
In her personal life, Sheryl Crow has never married, despite several relationships, but has two adopted sons.
