Sharif Atkins Wiki Biography

Sharif Atkins was born on 29 January 1975 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA, to David and Jacqueline, and is best known as a television actor who landed main roles in the series ‘’ER’’ and ‘’White Collars’’.

So just how rich is Sharif Atkins as of mid-2017? Authoritative sources estimate that Atkins’ net worth is as high as $2 million, accumulated from his two decades long career in the acting industry; he is also a producer.

Although born in Pittsburgh, Sharif grew up in Chicago, Illinois, where he subsequently attended Northwestern University, and graduated in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in theatre speech.

Prior to his career in the acting industry, Atkins worked as a stock boy for Victoria’s Secret in Chicago. He made his television debut with support roles in the series ‘’Early Edition’’ in 1998, then in 1999 he had his first movie role in ‘’Light it Up’’. Atkins went on to make several more support appearances on television shows, such as ‘’Turks’’ and ‘’That’s the Life’’.

Atkins’ big breakthrough was the role of Dr. Michael Gallant in ‘’ER’’, a critically acclaimed TV medical drama show; he portrayed one of the main characters, and later on had a recurring role in the show. Sharif portrayed the main character for three years and he was then a recurring character from 2005 until 2006.

Being released from the previously mentioned TV show, Sharif went on to star in ‘’Hawaii’’ an NBC police drama, and had a lot on his plate throughout the early 2000s, continuing to appear in television shows and television films. During this time, Sharif had parts in short movies, but stayed primarily focused on his career on TV. In 2005, he joined the cast of ‘’Eve’’, an American sitcom, playing the recurring role of Grant. Subsequently, Atkins appeared as a guest star in ‘’In Justice’’, ‘’Close to Home’’ and ‘’Numbers’’, among others. Sharif continued to make support appearances until he joined the cast of ‘’White Collar’’, a critically acclaimed and awarded drama TV show, landing the main role of special agent Clinton Jones who appeared in the pilot episode and subsequently appeared in every episode, certainly gaining more recognition; Sharif’s career was at its peak at that point, and his net worth was rising steadily.

He was a guest star in an episode of ‘’House’’ in 2012, then made an appearance in ‘’Guardians of the Galaxy’’, a 2014 American superhero movie. In the same fashion, he continued with support roles on television, and as of 2017, Atkins landed the role of Christian Chase in a TV movie ‘’Amy’s Brother’’.

In his personal life, Sharif proposed to his long time girlfriend, Bethany Lynn Hotchkiss at a social event in 2014, and the couple married shortly afterwards, and as of 2016 has a daughter.

Atkins is widely recognized for his charity work and philanthropy; he has been an ambassador for Operation Smile since 2011 and visited Ecuador with the organization back in 2013, providing children in need with food and other necessities.
