Seán William McLoughlin Wiki Biography
Sean William McLoughlin was born on 7 February 1990, in Athlone, Ireland, and is a YouTuber, game commentator, and vlogger best known for his YouTube channel called Jacksepticeye, a professional name which he has adopted. He is also known to have won a shout-out competition from popular YouTuber PewDiePie, who helped him rise to prominence. All of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is now.
So how rich is Jacksepticeye, as of late 2017? Authoritative sources estimate a net worth that is at $10 million, mostly earned through the success of his YouTube channel, which has now recorded over 8.3 billion views, and has accumulated more than 17 million subscribers. His popularity has also given him the chance to receive invites to events, sign sponsorship deals. All of these have ensured his continuous rise in wealth.
At a young age, Jack focused more on music, and even had a heavy-metal band called “Raised to the Ground”. After matriculating from high school, he then went to college to study Music Technology, but dropped out after two years. He later decided to study English, and so returned to college. Around the same time, he also decided to start his own YouTube channel, but wasn’t too distracted as he went on to graduate with a degree in Hotel Management during 2014, by which time his channel was starting to attract significant popularity. The name Jacksepticeye was given to him as a nickname when he was young; according to Jack, he was playing soccer and got cut above the eye by a friend’s glasses during play which became infected and needed dressing; hence the name, which he used when expanding his channel.
Jack had actually been a member of YouTube since 2007, but did not begin to upload his own videos until five years later. His first video was an impression of the video game character Solid Snake, and soon he had the idea of doing Let’s Play, and game commentary videos on the website. During this time, the idea of playing games and showcasing it on YouTube was no longer uncommon, and he started by uploading games such as “Dark Souls” and “Far Cry 3”. He got a boost in popularity after submitting a shout-out entry to PewDiePie’s competition in 2013. He won the competition, and after he was promoted by PewDiePie, he attracted a significant number of subscribers, which boosted his net worth significantly.
As his main source of income, he is very active on YouTube, completing a number of video game series which update every three to five days. He also interacts with viewers there by doing videos on reading, social media comments, and updating people with his personal life via vlogs. He also collaborates with other YouTubers, including PewDiePie and Markiplier.
Aside from this, Jack can be seen in popular events such as “South by Southwest” in Austin, Texas, which he co-hosted last March 2016. Most recently, in early 2017, the Polaris division of The Walt Disney Company contracted Jack to feature in the series “Polaris: Player Select” on the Disney XD channel. Then at the D23 Expo 2017, fellow YouTuber Strawburry17 linked with Jack to host the “Level Up!” games panel. Jack has also voiced Shawn Flynn in the video game “Bendy and the Ink Machine” – his net worth seems to benefit from all of his activities.
For his personal life, Jack has been in a relationship with Signe Hansen., but is still officially single. He is noted for frequent changes to his hair color, as evident in his YouTube channel. His current residence is in Brighton, England.
