Scott McNealy was born on 13 November 1954, in Columbus, Indiana USA, and is a businessman best known for being the co-founder of the computer technology company Sun Microsystems, along with Vinod Khosla, Andy Bechtolsheim and Bill Joy. He is also the co-founder of Curriki and Waylin. All of his efforts have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

Two years after establishing the company, Scott became the CEO, while Khosla would leave the company in 1985 due to a dispute with the board of directors. McNealy would serve in that position for 22 years before Jonathan Schwartz succeeded him. One of the most significant advancements that Sun made was the Java software, and they would become rivals with other companies such as Microsoft.
