Samuel “Sam” Pepper Wiki Biography
Samuel “Sam” Pepper was born on 26th March 1989, in Ashford, Kent, England and is a YouTuber and comedian, best known to the world for his YouTube channel OFFICIALsampepper, which has more than two million subscribers.
Have you ever wondered how rich Sam Pepper is, as of late 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Pepper’s net worth is as high as $1.1 million, an amount earned through his successful career, active since 2010.
Samuel Pepper is of half Greek descent and lived in Ashford Kent as a child. He enrolled at Pent Valley College, but there is no information whether he finished his education or not.
Pepper came to notice when he featured in the second season of the popular reality TV series “Big Brother” in 2010. He remained 21 days in the house, when he was voted out with 14.6% by the public.
This only encouraged him to continue his presence in the media, and as a result, Pepper created his YouTube Channel on 8th August 2010, but his first video “Lift Prank | Sam Pepper + Jacksgap” wasn’t uploaded until two years later, and has attracted more than six million views. Sam continued with his prank videos, which only increased his popularity, and with that his net worth was also rising. Some of his most popular videos include “60 Seconds That Will Change How You Think”, which has been viewed eight million times, then “Hiding All Night In A Closed Costco (Toilet Paper Fort)”, which has so far received just over six million, and “Parking Tickets That Make You Smile Prank” which has been viewed over five million times. So far, he has amassed a total of 115 million views, which in large part increased his net worth. Together with a fellow YouTuber, Marius “Maz” Listhrop, he went on his worldwide “WDGAF Tour” from the end of 2013 to mid-2014, which also contributed to his popularity and wealth.
Unfortunately, his pranks have brought him problems; back in 2014 he uploaded a prank video dubbed “Fake Hand Ass Pinch Prank”, after which Pepper faced a lot of controversy as many women accused him of encouraging sexual harassment. The following year 2015 did not prove any better for the YouTuber, as his video prank “Killing Best Friend Prank” resulted in a further backlash against him, and a petition to have him removed from YouTube received 100,000 signatures. Pepper in an interview with Metro, a British newspaper that had compared the video to an Isis -Style Execution, said that the criticism against him and the video were shocking.
Pepper’s followers woke up to a surprise on the 21st of February 2016, when he turned all his videos private and deleted all his tweets except one stating “I give up”. He uploaded a video three days later entitled “I’m sorry”, confessing that the “Killing Best Friend Prank” video was stage managed. He also denied all the rape and sexual harassment allegations against him. He even called himself an idiot in the video, and promised to upload content that he believed in.
So Pepper stopped uploading pranks and changed to vlogs which received a more positive response, and in April 2016, Pepper made some of his videos publicly available again.
When it comes to his personal life, Sam and Cat Rose have been in a relationship since 2014.
