Salvatore C. Governale Wiki Biography

El Salvador Gonzalez-Governale was born on 24 October 1968, in New York City USA, and is a comedian, actor and producer, probably best known for his involvement in “The Howard Stern Show”.

So just how rich is Sal Governale at present? Sources state that Governale has accumulated a fortune of over $400,000, as of early 2017, earned largely through his tenure in “The Howard Stern Show”, and through other involvement in the film and television industry now spanning 30 years.

Governale grew up in Hauppauge, New York, where his parents ran a pizza shop. He attended Long Island’s Sachem Central School District, after which he worked as a stockbroker, which was the origin of his nickname ‘Sal the Stockbroker’. His career in comedy started by writing gags, and performing them in a small club.

In the mid-’90s, Governale started to make phone calls to the hit radio show “The Howard Stern Show”, and eventually became a regular caller to the show, which drew Stern’s attention, and he decided to hire him as a prank caller. Governale then participated in the contest named “Win John’s Job” on the show, finishing second. However, despite failing to gain the position, he had another great opportunity, nce Stern learned about his talent for writing comedy pieces. He made Governale one of the show’s writers, as well as one of its producers, and his written gags soon gained a decent amount of popularity, so his net worth began to grow.

After becoming known on radio, Governale became a television personality too. With the launch of HowardTV in 2006, he became a part of the “Howard Stern on Demand” TV series, portraying the everyday happenings of Stern’s radio show. The series increased his popularity and expanded his wealth. He remained on it until 2011.

Being involved in one of the most successful radio shows ever, and being responsible for some of the craziest and wackiest stunts known to radio has enabled Governale to achieve a great level of fame. Aside from boosting his popularity, his tenure as a writer/character on the “Howard Stern” show, both on radio and on television, has greatly contributed to his net worth as well.

He has also been a part of a tour known as “Killers of Comedy”, traveling around the USA, performing stand-up comedy and various jokes and skits.

In addition to his career in comedy, Governale has also pursued an acting career. He made his film debut with the role of an Italian comic in the 2007 drama film “Goodbye Baby”, and went on to expand his acting resume by appearing in the films “Killer Hoo-Ha!”, “Circus Maximus” and “Booley” in 2010. The following year he appeared in the television series “Blue Mountain State”, and in the mystery thriller film “Candy’s Room: Soleil Noir”. Showcasing his acting talents, Governale’s wealth grew larger, and he went on to appear in films like “Girls Gone Dead”, “Jersey Shore Massacre” and “The Pick-Axe Murders Part III: The Final Chapter”, and in TV series such as “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”. Governale’s most recent role was in the 2016 comedy film “Gender Bender”.

He has also done some voice-over work, such as in the series “Stone Quackers” and “Uncle Grandpa”, and in the film “Nerdland”. All added to his net worth.

Speaking about his personal life, Governale has been married to Christine Governale since 1996. The couple has three children, and the family resides in Nassau County, New York State.
