Ryan Toby was born on 26 November 1978, in Willingboro, New Jersey USA and is an actor, singer, songwriter and producer, best known for being part of the group City High as the baritenor. He was also part of the 1993 film “Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit”, in which he played Wesley Glen Ahmal James. All of his endeavors have helped put his net worth to where it is today.

At the time Disney and Buena Vista were looking for young singers/actors for their upcoming project “Sister Act II: Back in the Habit”, which had Whoopi Goldberg in the starring role. At the age of 16, Toby was cast in the film, and would also become a part of the film’s soundtrack, being responsible for writing the rap part of their rendition of “Joyful, Joyful”. He then returned to school and attended Grambling State University. He met Jazzy Jeff and was invited to Philadelphia, then getting an offer to become part of the Touch of Jazz Production Company.
He also met Will Smith who was working on the “Big Willie Style” album. Toby would become part of the hit single “Miami”, and also helped write songs such as “Don’t Say Nothing” as well as “Candy”.

For his personal life, it is known that Toby married fellow City High member Claudette Ortiz in 2004, but they divorced three years later; they have two sons, and he also has a daughter from another relationship. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
