Ryan Lochte rose to prominence in 2008 when he participated in the Summer Olympics, where he won a Gold medal in the 200 meter backstroke and another Gold medal in the 4×200 meter freestyle relay. Later in the Summer Olympics event, Lochte secured a Bronze medal in the 200 meter individual medley and one more Bronze medal in the 400 meter individual medley.
