Rushion McDonald is a TV executive producer, and motivational speaker best known to the world for producing such shows as “Steve Harvey” (2013-2017), among many other creations. His career started in the late ‘80s.

Have you ever wondered how rich Rushion McDonald is, as of mid- 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that McDonald’s net worth is as high as $10 million, an amount earned through his successful career in the entertainment industry.

Little is known about Rushion’s life before his career started. However, it is known that he attended University of Houston, from which he obtained a degree in mathematics.

He used his degree to find employment with one of the largest technological companies, IBM, and soon enough started climbing up in rank. However, in the early ‘80s, his love for entertainment emerged, and he appeared in several stand-up comedy events. Gradually he became more involved in stand-up comedy, and as a result he became one of the top 50 stand-up comedians by the Showtime cable network. He then started performing his stand-up comedy act in Houston Comedy Club, where he met Steve Harvey.

The two reconnected in the early ‘90s, when Steve starred in the TV comedy series “Me and the Boys”, and Rushion became story editor of the series. After that, he served as writer for the TV series “The Parent ‘Hood” from 1995 to 1996, and from 1998 to 1999 as a writer and the producer of the TV drama comedy “Sister, Sister”. In 1999 Rushion made his breakthrough by creating the hilarious Jamie Foxx Show, which lasted until 2000, and served as its executive, which only increased his wealth considwrably.

He took a step forward creating the TV series “The Parkers” (2000-2002), but he only wrote four episodes, although serving as a consulting producer until the end of the show in 2002. The following year he teamed up again with Steve Harvey to create “Steve Harvey’s Big Time Challenge”, and also in 2004 served as producer for Harvey’s TV series “Pulled Over”. Over the years, the two collaborated also on “The Steve Harvey Show” (2013-2017), for which Rushion received two Daytime Emmy awards in the category Outstanding Talk Show/Informative. However, before that launch, Rushion also worked on the TV series “Mobile Home Disaster” (2008), for which Rushion won an EMA Award, and the film “Think Like a Man” (2012).

In 2014 he produced the sequel to “Think Like a Man”, entitled “Think Like a Man Too” (2014), and TV series “Family Feud” (2016), which also increased his net worth.To speak further of his accomplishments, he is the CEO of Media Inc, and the creator and host of the radio program “Money Making Conversations”.

Regarding his personal life, Rushion is married to Cicely, but further details of their marriage are unknown to the public.

Rushion is also a well-known philanthropist; he and his wife have started a scholarship for African-American students at the University of Houston, among many other philanthropic acts.
