Ronald William Artest, Jr., was born in Queens, New York City, USA, on 13 November 1979, but changed his name in 2011 to Metta World Peace.
He is a professional basketball player, perhaps best known for playing in the position of small forward for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
As an actor and rapper, he is also remembered.
Ever since 1999, his professional career has been involved.

Ron signed a deal with the New York Knicks after his departure from the Lakers, which further boosted his net worth, but he was also released by the club in 2014.
