Have you ever wondered how rich Ron Jaworski is, as of mid-2016? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Jaworski’s net worth is as high as $3 million, an amount earned largely through his successful career in the NFL. In addition to being a quarterback for 17 years, Jaworski is currently an NFL analyst for ESPN and is the CEO of Ron Jaworski Golf Management, Inc. which has also improved his wealth.
Ron Jaworski grew up in Lackawanna, and although he was a three-sport star in high school, he rejected the opportunity to sign a professional baseball contract with the St. Louis Cardinals, and instead enrolled at Youngstown State University. During his college days, Jaworski was an exceptional quarterback and was selected to the Senior Bowl.
The Los Angeles Rams selected him in the second round of the 1973 NFL Draft, but mostly used him as the third quarterback behind John Hadl and James Harris, although with reasonable playing time while they were injured in the 1975 season. However, he lost his starting job to Pat Haden in 1976, and was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 1977 in exchange for All-Pro tight end Charlie Young. Jaworski was a starting quarterback in his first season with the Eagles and took them to the playoffs in 1978 and 1979.
In 1980, Jaworski led the Eagles to an 11-1 regular season record, winning the NFC Eastern Division for the first time, but they eventually lost to the Oakland Raiders in Super Bowl XV. It was the best season in his career, and he was selected to his only Pro Bowl. Jaworski stayed in Philadelphia the next six years, but without significant results, and in 1987 the Eagles released him with the record of 69 wins, 67 defeats, and a tie.
Jaworski signed a contract with the Miami Dolphins in 1987, increasing further his net worth, but was only a backup to the Hall of Famer quarterback Dan Marino, and didn’t see any playing time that season. He only had limited playing time next year, so he moved to Kansas City Chiefs in 1989, then he retired at the end of the season. During his 17 seasons in the NFL, Jaworski recorded 179 touchdown passes and 164 interceptions, he threw for 28,190 yards and had 72.8 passer rating. He has been inducted into the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame.
After his NFL career, Jaworski turned to business, which also benefited to his net worth. Currently, he is a co-owner of the Philadelphia Soul of the Arena Football League. He also owns Valleybrook Country Club in Blackwood and Running Deer Golf Club both in New Jersey.Jaworski started his broadcasting career with ESPN in 2006, and served as a commentator for Monday Night Football from 2007 until 2012 when the network decided to keep only Jon Gruden and Mike Tirico in the booth, but he remained at ESPN as an analyst. Jaworski also published the book “The Games That Changed the Game” in 2010.
Regarding his personal life, Ron Jaworski is married to Liz; the pair has three children together, and currently reside in Voorhees Township, New Jersey.
