He has also worked as a media consultant for Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, Republican US Presidents.

Roger Ailes was born to Robert Eugene Ailes and Donna Marie. As a kid, he was educated at Warren City Schools and Warren High School. Between 1987 and 1988, Roger was credited along with Lee Atwater with guiding President George H. W. Bush in the Republican preliminaries. In 1988, he wrote a book ‘You Are the Message: Secrets of the Master Communicators,’ discussing some of the strategies and philosophies for succeeding in the public eye. After his last effort with Richard Thornburgh who was vying for the US Senate failed in November 1991, Ailes announced that he would withdraw from politics, but returned in 1992 to help Bush win his re-election against Bill Clinton.

In TV, Roger Ailes started working as the Chairman of Fox TV Stations Group after Lachlan Murdoch departed from the News Corporation on 15 August 2005. Because of his impressive work with the TV Company, his contract was renewed in October 2012, which would see him work another four years until 2016.
