Rodney Scott Carrington was born on the 19th October 1968, in Longview Texas, USA. He is best known to the world for being not only an American stand-up comedian, but also as an actor, screen writer and musician – singer and song writer. He is appreciated as a comedian who combines songs with stand-up comedy. His career has been active since 1998.

Rodney Carrington was raised in Longview, his hometown. While he was a student at Kilgore College, he showed acting talent, so he became a member of theater, and appeared in a production of the play “Noises Off”. Before he managed to make a breakthrough to the music scene, he worked as a stand-up comedian, appearing in local clubs in Texas, and also on the radio show called “The Bob and Tom Show”. In 2000, he released his second album, called “Morning Wood”, which reached 18th place on the Top Country Album chart, which increased his net worth to a large degree. The song “More of a Man” from this album reached 71st place on Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. In 2003, Carrington released his third album, named “Nut Sack”, which reached 18th spot on the Top Country Album, and included the single called “Don’t Look Now” which reached 60th place on the same chart. In 2004, he released his first collection album, entitled “Greatest Hits”, which received platinum certification, increasing further his net worth. The album had two CDs – on the first was his stand-up comedy, and on the second were songs.

Carrington released three more albums, “King Of The Mountains” (2007), “El Niño Loco” (2009), which was his first album that contained only songs, and his latest release “Laughter’s Gold” (2014). In 2009, he released a special album called “Make It Christmas”; the single from this album – “Camouflage and Christmas Lights” – became a Top 40 country hits.

Carrington is also recognized as an actor. He made his acting debut in his own comedy series called “Rodney”, which was based on his life, and the TV series was shown on ABC from September of 2004 to June 2006 – creator and executive producer was Ric Swartzlander. Soon after, he continued with his acting career, and in 2005 he was cast in the role of a Prison Guard in the movie “The Longest Yard”. Later, in 2008 he appeared as Lonnie Luther Feldman in the movie entitled “Beer For My Horses”, alongside Toby Keith. For this role he was also credited for screenplay writing, which also added to his overall net worth.
