Richard Laughlain Munro Wiki Biography
Richard Laughlain Munro was born on the 12th February 1966, in Lac La Hache, British Columbia, Canada, and is a television and film actor, probably best known for his roles in such movies as “Scary Movie” (2000), “Freddy vs. Jason” (2003), and “White Chicks” (2004). Munro’s career started in 1987.
Have you ever wondered how rich Lochlyn Munro is, as of early 2017? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Munro’s net worth is as high as $400,000, an amount earned largely through his successful acting career. In addition to working in films, Munro has also played in various TV series and movies, which have improved his wealth too.
Lochlyn Munro grew up in British Columbia and wanted to become a professional ice hockey player, but an injury quashed his dream, so he decided to pursue an acting career instead. Munro began playing music in local Vancouver clubs, while studying drama and improvisational comedy.
His first role came in 1987 in the TV series “21 Jump Street”, appearing in four episodes until 1990, before landing minor roles in “Cadence” (1990) with Martin and Charlie Sheen, and “Run” (1991) starring Patrick Dempsey and Kelly Preston. In 1992, Munro had a part in Clint Eastwood’s Oscar Award-winning “Unforgiven” alongside Eastwood, Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman, while in 1993 he appeared in “Needful Things” with Max von Sydow and Ed Harris. From 1994 to 1995, Lochlyn played in 14 episodes of “Hawkeye”, and then portrayed Agent Andrew Forbes in seven episodes of “Two”, from 1996 to 1997. Munro continued with “Dead Man on Campus” (1998), “A Night at the Roxbury” (1998) starring Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell, and “A Murder of Crows” (1998) alongside Cuba Gooding Jr. and Tom Berenger. Lochlyn ended the ‘90s with the TV series “Charmed”, appearing in seven episodes from 1999 to 2000.
In 2000, Munro played in such films as “Scary Movie”, “Duets” with Huey Lewis, Gwyneth Paltrow and Paul Giamatti, and in “Dracula 2000” starring Gerard Butler and Jonny Lee Miller. Lochlyn also had roles in “Rock My World” (2002) alongside Peter O’Toole and Alicia Silverstone, “A Guy Thing” (2003) with Jason Lee, Julia Stiles, and Selma Blair, and “Lucky 7” (2003). Other notable movies in the 2000’s were “Freddy vs. Jason” (2003), “White Chicks” (2004), and “The Benchwarmers” (2006) starring David Spade, Jon Heder, and Rob Schneider. He earned around $400,000 for playing in “White Chicks”, so his net worth was certainly rising.
In 2012, Munro appeared in 12 episodes of Steven Seagal’s “True Justice”, and later in “The Company You Keep” (2012) with Robert Redford, Brit Marling and Stanley Tucci. He also worked on “The Package” (2013) alongside Steve Austin and Dolph Lundgren, “Assault on Wall Street” (2013) with Dominic Purcell and Edward Furlong, and “Kid Cannabis” (2014). Most recently, Munro has played in such movies as “Capital Punishment” (2014), “Poker Night” (2014) with Beau Mirchoff, Ron Perlman and Giancarlo Esposito, and “Blackway” (2015) starring Anthony Hopkins, Julia Stiles and Ray Liotta.
At the moment, Lochlyn works in the series “Riverdale” (2016- ), and is filming “Frat Pack”, “While You Were Dating”, and ”Max 2: White House Hero”, all of which will be released later in 2017. Regarding his personal life, Lochlyn Munro married Sharon in 1997, and has two children with her. He has a gold medal for water-skiing in the British Columbia Summer Games.
