Richard Dominick Incognito Jr Wiki Biography

Richard Dominick Incognito Jr. was born on 5 July 1983, in Englewood, New Jersey USA, to Donna and Richard Incognito Sr., of Italian and German descent. He is an American Football player, best known for playing as a guard for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League(NFL).

So just how rich is Richie Incognito? Sources state that Incognito has earned a net worth of over $10 million, as of mid-2016, accumulated during his football career which began in 2005.

Incognito attended Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale, Arizona, playing for the school’s football team and earning numerous awards and honors. In 2001 he enrolled at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, joining the school’s football team the Nebraska Cornhuskers, becoming the team’s first freshman offensive lineman to start in the season opener, and the third rookie lineman to earn any start in his first year of competition; he was subsequently named a First-team Freshman All-American by FWAA, The Sporting News, and Rivals.com and First-Team Freshman All-Big 12 by the Sporting News.

However, during this time, Incognito began developing a troubling attitude, behavior that would remain with him throughout his career. After a number of incidents in 2002 and early 2003, he was obliged to take an anger management treatment course. Returning to the game for the 2003 season, Incognito was rewarded with a first-team All-Big 12 selection by the Associated Press. However, his problematic behavior wasn’t solved, and he was involved in several incidents again, which led him to leave Nebraska and transfer to the University of Oregon. However, the Oregon Ducks dismissed him just a week later, after he failed to meet the team’s conditions.

Incognito was selected in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft, as the 81st overall pick by the St. Louis Rams. Being on the reserved list and later on a non-football injury list during his rookie season, the player proved his amazing skills during the 2006 season. However, due to injuries he missed most of the next season. Returning to the game in 2008, he was fined three times for violating the game rules, and after the season ended, he became a restricted free agent.

The following year he re-signed with the team, agreeing on a one-year, $1.01 million deal, which considerably contributed to his net worth. However, after being benched twice for personal fouls, Incognito was dismissed by the Rams. The fouls cost him $50,000 in fines by the NFL.

In 2009 he joined the Buffalo Bills, but started in only three games. The following year he signed a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins, being ranked in the Top 20 for Pass Blocking Efficiency. The Dolphins re-signed him in 2011 to a three-year contract, greatly improving his wealth. After making his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2012 and winning the 2012 Good Guy Award by the Pro Football Writers Association, Incognito was suspended by the team for the entire 2013 season, due to his harassment of a teammate. Following the suspension’s lifting in early 2014, he became a free agent.

In 2015 he signed a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills, leading the team in rushing yards and yards-per-carry, and being selected to the Pro Bowl. The Bills re-signed him to a three-year, $15,750,000 worth contract in early 2016.

In his private life, Incognito hasn’t been married yet – sources believe he is currently single. The player has been involved in philanthropy. In 2012 he led a book reading to over 100 children, as a supporter of Operation Homefront, an organization focused on helping the US military troops and their families, as well as wounded soldiers.

Known as the dirtiest player in the league who has had anger management issues since college, it is not surprising that Incognito has been involved in controversies. Among his numerous incidents, there was the 2013 affair involving him and his teammate Jonathan Martin. Reportedly, Incognito harassed Martin by bullying him and sending him threatening and racially charged messages. As a result, the Dolphins and the league suspended him for conduct detrimental to the team for the entire season, with the league taking the case into further and deeper investigation, which confirmed the whole case as harassment and bullying not only on Martin, but also a Japanese assistant coach. After Incognito was released by Dolphins in 2014, he sought help through therapy.
