Riccardo Cascadan Wiki Biography
Cascada was formed in 2004 by singer Natalie Horler, DJ Yanou, and DJ Manian, and is a German music act, best known for their singles “What Hurts the Most”, “Everytime We Touch”, and “Evacuate the Dancefloor”. They have sold over 30 million albums worldwide, and all of their efforts have helped put their net worth to where it is today.
How rich is Cascada? As of mid-2017, sources estimate a net worth that is at $7 million, mostly earned through success in the music industry. They have also benefited from 15 million digital downloads, no doubt following their appearance when representing Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest of 2013. As they continue their career, it is expected that their wealth will also continue to increase.
/8At a young age, Natalie Horler started working with various DJs in the studio. Eventually she would meet Yanou and Manian, and they released music under the name Cascade but had to change it due to similarities with another band’s name. They also released music under the name Akira and Siria, but dropped it with the success of Cascada. They signed with Andorfine records, and produced the hit single “Miracle”, and followed it up with “Bad /Boy”, starting to gain popularity outside of Germany too.
After the release of their second American single – “Everytime We Touch” – Cascada found mainstream success. The song gained platinum and gold certifications all around the world, leading them to produce an album, comprising a total of eight single, most of which reached top 10 status in the UK; the album remained in the top 40 of the charts for 24 weeks, and they gained two World Music Award nominations and sold two million copies of the album worldwide. Their net worth started to increase significantly.
They then started working on their second album entitled – “Perfect Day” – which contained some cover songs as well. The lead single “What Hurts the Most” had a lot of success, and others mostly became popular dance songs. In 2009, they then worked on “Evacuate the Dancefloor” which was released just four days after the death of Michael Jackson. Despite this, their song as well as the album went on to gain success, and was nominated for an MTV Video Music Award, however the album quickly fell out of the charts, not sustaining the same success as previous albums.
In 2011, they released a new single “Pyromania” and followed it up with “Night Nurse”. They continued making singles until the release of their album “Original Me”, which received mixed reactions from fans and critics. Cascada then parted with Robbins Entertainment, while Horler went on to be part of the judging panel of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. They released a new single in 2012, and followed it up with the compilation album “Back on the Dance Floor”, so their net worth continued to increase. They then released the Christmas album “It’s Christmas Time” and represented Germany at the “Eurovision Song Contest 2013”. In 2014, they started releasing collaborative singles and then re-worked the song “Reason”. After a two year break from releasing music, they returned in 2017 to release the single “Run”. They now apparently plan to release singles instead of a full album.
For their personal lives, it is known that Natalie Horler is married to Mortiz Raffelborg and they have a daughter. Yanou and Manian also work on various projects aside from Cascada.
