Reginald Lucien Frank Roger Watts, born on the 23rd of March, 1972, is an American-French comedian who became known for his style in incorporating music and stand-up comedy. He recently became famous for being the lead of the band of the show “The Late Late Show with James Corden.”

So how much is Watts’ net worth? As of mid 2016, it is reported to be $2 million, acquired from his years as a musician and comedian performing in various festivals and tours and on television.

Born in Stuttgart, West Germany, Watts is the son of Christiane and Charles Watts. His father was an African American officer in the United States Air Force and his mother was French. The early years of his childhood were spent in an American Army base in Germany until they moved to Great Falls, Montana.

Growing up in Great Falls, Watts studied piano and violin while attending Great Falls High School. Because of his love for music, he decided to leave home and go to Seattle, Washington to study music. He first attended The Art Institute of Seattle and later Cornish College of Arts studying jazz.

After graduation, Watts was able to score jobs playing in various bands. Some of the bands he had participated included Swampdweller, Chairscuro, Smell No Taste, Action Body, Das Rut, and Wayne Horvitz 4+1 to name a few.

Although he didn’t receive much success yet, his early days playing in band started his career in music and net worth.

While playing the keyboard for the band Wayne Horvitz 4+1, he also started his own band Maktub. During these years in 1996 and onwards, he honed his musical talent and played with various tools that he can use on stage. He also mixed his love for comedy and found out he can mix both performance on stage. After a couple of bands and albums later, Watts decided to move to New York in 2004 and start his solo career.

Watts’ performance became a hit among audience with his unique style. He mixed comedy, music, and even beat boxing while performing in front of an audience. He started performing in underground scenes and festivals and soon he was shooting short comedic videos with Superdeluxe, Vimeo and CollegeHumor. Slowly his career is becoming more main stream and his wealth is also increasing.

Soon Watts invaded television and in 2008 appeared in the Late Night Show with Jimmy Fallon. He also made appearances in the show “The Electric Company” and “Michael and Michael Have Issues”. These early appearances led to more opportunities and also helped increase his net worth.

Today, Watts is still active in comedy and music. Some of his most memorable works include “Why Shit So Crazy”, an appearance in Conan O’Brien’s “The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour”, “Reggie Watts: A ‘Live’ in Central Park” and working n the show “Comedy Bang! Bang!” He is now the bandleader and announcer for “The Late Late Show with James Corden”.

Reginald Lucien Frank Roger Watts Quotes

  • I have listened to a lot of things, I’ve experienced a lot of things and I like a lot of things. But most of all, I guess I remember the weird aspects of everything. I don’t know where that comes from – the impulse to focus in on these odd strands and keep them somewhere. I guess it’s like a scrapbook or an ongoing collage or something.
