He is also known as a television and radio presenter, who works at the BBC. His career has been active since 1993.
So, have you ever wondered how rich Reggie Yates is, as of early 2018? According to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that the total size of Reggie’s net worth is over $3 million, accumulated through his successful involvement in the entertainment industry. Another source is coming from the sales of his autobiographical book “Unseen: My Journey” (2017).
Reggie Yates spent his childhood in his hometown where he was raised by his father, Reginald Yates, who worked as an administrator, and his mother, Felicia Asante, a trader. He went to Central Foundation Boys’ School in Islington, and upon matriculation enrolled in City & Islington Sixth Form College.
Speaking about Reggie’s acting career, it began when he made his debut appearance in a small role in the TV series “Desmond’s” in 1993, which was followed by several other small roles as a teenager; however, his breakthrough came in 2002, when he was chosen to portray Carl Fenton in the TV series “Grange Hill”, after which he was selected to play Calvin in the TV series entitled “UgetMe” (2003-2005). By the end of the decade, Reggie had been cast as Leo Jones in the TV series “Doctor Who” in 2007 and as Theo Mackenzie in the TV series “Trinity” in 2009. Furthermore, Reggie also starred in the role of Mason in the 2011 film “Demons Never Die”, directed by Arjun Rose, and featured as various characters in the TV series “Rastamouse” (2011-2012), increasing his net worth by a large margin. Afterwards, he tried himself as screenwriter and director, and won the 2014 London Independent Film Award for his short film “Date Night”.
Other than that, Reggie is also known as a television presenter, whose career began in the TV show “The Disney Club” (1997-1998). His first major project was the morning show “Smile” (2002-2004), which was followed by BBC One’s music show “Top Of The Pops”, which lasted until 2016, adding a considerable amount to his net worth. In 2005, he presented the show “Only In America” alongside Fearne Cotton, as well as the show entitled “Mighty Truck Of Stuff” in the following year, both on the CBBC channel. By the end of the decade, Reggie had also presented such shows as “Escape From Scorpion Island” (2007), “Reading And Leeds Festival” (2009), “Move Like Michael Jackson” (2010), and “T In The Park 2010”, among many others.
In 2012 and 2013, Reggie hosted the competitive show “The Voice UK”, after which he worked on ITV2’s show “Release The Hounds” (2013-2017) – for which he won the 2016 Royal Television Society Television Award for Entertainment – BBC One’s show “Prized Apart” (2015) and his own show “Reggie Yates: Extreme Russia” (2015) on BBC Three, for which he won the 2016 Royal Television Society Television Award for Best Presenter, among others. Most recently, he hosted the show entitled “Special Forces: Ultimate Hell Week” in 2017. His net worth is certainly still rising.

Reggie Yates Quotes
- (One of his biggest fears-swearing on TV) “When you do so much live TV, it gets to a point where you’re so relaxed you forget that you’re on TV, that you’re just doing something with a camera in your face. It’s very easy to get to the point where you swear. Been there many times!”
- (On going into Fame Academy) “I’ve got a 10 year old sister and at the moment, because I do kids’ TV, she’s the queen in school. She told me, ‘Don’t embarrass me on Fame Academy’, so that’s the pressure I’m under, I don’t want to feel her force!”
