Peter Paul Reckell Wiki Biography
Peter Paul Reckell, born on the 7th of May 1955, is an American theatre, television and movie actor, probably best known for playing the character of Bo Brady in the television series “Days of Our Lives”.
So how much is Reckell’s net worth? As of early 2016, it is reported by sources to be $3 million, gained mostly from his long career as an actor.
Born in Elkhart, Indiana USA, but raised in Michigan, Reckell came from a big family of six kids. His love for acting started during his high school years, where he actively participated in various school theatre productions. He then graduated from the renowned Boston Conservatory, with a bachelor of fine arts degree in theatre, with a minor in music and dance. During his college years, he worked as a singer/waiter to support his education, and then moved to New York to pursue his dreams in theatre.
Reckell’s aim of performing on stage came true, appearing in various productions like “The Fantasticks”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “Love Letters” and “Guys and Dolls” to name a few. His name in the theatre world created a buzz and it also helped his net worth. In 1980, he decided to transition to television, and bagged his first project in “As the World Turns”, playing the role of Eric Hollister. Though Reckell only stayed in the show for two seasons, it opened up a new door in his career.
In 1983, Reckell’s career propelled to new heights when he was cast to be part of the television drama series “Days of Our Lives”, playing the character of Bo Brady, the anti-hero leading man, who became the love interest of the character Hope, played by actress Kristian Alfonso. The two became one of the most loved on-screen couples of their time, and gained a huge following among fans. The show made Reckell a household name, and tremendously improved his net worth.
Reckell temporarily left the show in 1987 to pursue other opportunities, returning to his theatre roots and starring in “Deathtrap”, then coming back to television, this time in a prime-time series playing the character of Johnny Rourke in “Knots Landing”.
Reckell appeared again in “Days of Our Lives” in 1990, and has been on and off in the show since then, from 1990 to 1992, from 1995 to 2012, and recently in its 50th anniversary in 2015. Reckell has also been appearing in various other TV shows, including “Baywatch”, “Women of the House” and “Sheena” to name a few. He has also starred in movies including “Broken Bridges” and “Street Dreams”. His various projects have also helped increase his wealth.
In terms of his personal life, Reckell was married to Dale Kristien in 1987, but the union ended in divorce in 1991. In 1998 he tied the knot once again, this time to singer Kelly Moneymaker, and the two are still together with daughter Loden Sloan.
