Paul J. Fribourg is a businessman born on 22nd February 1954 in New York City USA, and is best known for being the chairman and CEO of ContiGroup Companies grain trading firm, and is the sixth generation of the Fribourg family to lead the company.

During his long and successful business career, Paul has also held numerous positions in the company, both in USA and Europe; some of them are Executive Vice-President of the Commodity Marketing Group, Group President of World Grain, and General Manager for Continental Grain Company’s European operations. He currently leads the Independent Director of Loews Corporation and Burger King, and is a member of several company boards, including The Estee Lauder Companies, Inc., Apollo Global Management, LLC, Castleton Commodities International, America-China Society and Endeavor Global, Inc. His duties and influence don’t stop here, however, as he also serves as the director of the Continental Grain Foundation and is a member of the Brown University Advisory Council on China, and International Business Leaders Advisory Council for the Mayor of Shanghai.
Paul is also taking part in the activities of various educational institutions such as the Lauder Institute at Wharton Business School where he is a chairman, and New York University, where he serves as director and the Nightingale School.
When it comes to his private life, Paul is married to Josabeth Amar, the daughter of David Amar, a Moroccan businessman. Fribourg and his wife have four children, plus three from her first marriage. However, Paul was involved in a scandal in 2007 when his years-long affair with CNN newscaster Paula Zahn was revealed. Namely, at the time Fribourg was divorcing his wife but following this event, the two decided to reconcile. In 2012 it was reported that Paul spent $27.2 million on an apartment in Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
